This Privacy Policy describes how HireDesi (collectively, the Company, we, us or our) collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information in connection with HireDesi.com websites (the Site), mobile applications (the App), and the related content, services, products, and other features and functionality offered on or through those Sites and Apps (collectively, the Service).
Please review this privacy policy carefully. By submitting your personal information to us, by using our Site, or by otherwise accessing or using the Service, you consent to our collecting, using and disclosing your personal information as set out in this privacy policy.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide to us. Personal data you may provide to us through the Service, at our online or offline events, through our promotions and surveys, or otherwise includes:
- Identity Data, such as first name, last name, resume/CV, Social Media profile, and profile photo.
- Contact data, such as physical address, email address, social media address, telephone number, and any other contact information you provide to us.
- Registration data, such as information that you provide to register for an account or sign up for an event.
- Profile data, such as your username and password that you may set to establish an online account with us and your interests and preferences.
- Business Information, such as job title, company name, company location, number of employees at the company, and other company-level data
- Communications, such as information you provide when you contact us with questions, feedback, survey responses, or otherwise correspond with us. This also includes information provided when you sign up for our newsletters.
- Marketing data, such as the email address or contact details that we use to send marketing communications and your preferences for receiving communications about our activities, events, sweepstakes and contests.
- Financial Information. Payment card details. However, please note that payment methods are not collected by us directly, but by secure payment service providers
- Purchase data, including your order history and information needed to process and fulfill your order, including order details, billing address, and delivery address.
- Other information that we may collect which is not specifically listed here, but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
If we collect personal data not specifically listed above, we will use it consistent with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise explained at the time of collection.
Information automatically collected. As you navigate the Service, our communications, and other online services, we, our service providers, and our advertising partners may automatically collect information about you, your computer or device, and your browsing actions and usage activity, such as:
- Device data. Technical information about your computer or mobile device, including operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique device identification numbers or other identifiers (including identifiers used for advertising purposes), language settings, mobile device/cellular carrier, and general location information associated with IP address (e.g., city/town).
- Usage data. Page and screen views, search terms, authentication details, how long you spent on a page or screen, the website you visited before browsing to the Service, navigation paths between pages/screens, information about your activity on a page/screen, access times and duration of access, whether you have opened our emails or clicked links within them, and other functional information on Service performance (like diagnostics and crash logs).
Cookies and other technologies. Some of the information we collect automatically is captured using cookies and other technologies as described in our Cookie Policy (listed below).
Third party sources. We combine personal data we receive from you or collect automatically when you use the Service with personal data we obtain from other sources, such as:
- Our business contacts who share details about their professional contacts and friends, including potential customers and partners.
- Public sources, including government records, information you submit in public forums, and information made publicly available on social media and company website bios (e.g., names, job titles, professional history and training/certifications).
- Authentication services you can use to log into the Service, such as those provided by Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft, which may share information about you to facilitate the authentication as described in the service’s settings or privacy policy.
- Social media accounts that you connect to the Service, such as when you use a social media widget in the Service to “like” content in the Service. When you do this, the social platform may share your profile or other personal data about you with us. You may be able to limit the information shared with us in the settings of your social media account.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use your personal data for the following purposes or as otherwise described in this Privacy Notice or at the time of collection:
Service delivery. We may use your personal information to 1) provide, operate and improve the Service, such as to enable you to make purchases of products and services that we have listed on the Sites; establish and maintain your account on the Service; 2) communicate with you about the Service, including by sending you announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages; 3) enable security features of the Sites, such as by sending you security codes via email or SMS, and remembering devices from which you have previously logged in; 4) administer contests, sweepstakes or promotions, or to provide information to third parties at your request, such as potential employers, job matching services or third party websites, or other career-related services); 5) share it with third parties that help us deliver career enhancing tools and a wider set of services to help in your career development;
Direct Marketing. We may use your personal information to send you HireDesi related marketing communications as permitted by law. You will have the ability to opt-out of our marketing and promotional communications as described in the Your Choices section below.
For research and development. We use your personal data for research and development purposes, including to analyze and improve the Service and our business in an informed way. As part of these activities, we may create aggregated, de-identified and/or anonymized data from personal data we collect. We make personal data into de-identified or anonymized data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this aggregated, de-identified or otherwise anonymized data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze, improve and promote the Service and our business.
Interest-based advertising. We may contract with third-party advertising companies and social media companies to display ads on our Service and other sites. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about you (including the device data, online activity data and/or geolocation data described above) over time across our Service and other sites and services or your interaction with our emails, and use that information to serve ads that they think will interest you. These ads are known as interest-based advertisements. Compliance and protection. We use your personal data to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities. We also use your personal data to protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety, or property (including by establishing and defending legal claims), including by conducting internal audits against our policies; enforcing the terms and conditions that govern the Service; and taking steps to prevent, investigate and deter fraud, cyberattacks or other unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity.
We, our service providers and the third parties we work with may use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies, including generative AI, to facilitate the processing of personal data described above.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share your personal information with the following third parties and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection:
Affiliates. Our subsidiaries and affiliates, for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Service providers. We may share all categories of personal data with third parties that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Service or our business (such as hosting, information technology and software, customer support, email and telephone communications, call recording, marketing, advertising, payment processing, user authentication, market/survey research, email delivery, marketing, database management services, risk/fraud mitigation, generative artificial intelligence, and analytics).
Advertising partners. Third party advertising companies that collect information about your activity on the Site and other online services to help us advertise our services, and/or use hashed customer lists that we share with them to deliver ads to them and similar users on their platforms. Their use of personal data is subject to their own privacy policies.
Third party platforms. Social media and other third party platforms that you connect to the Service, such as when you use options to access the Service by logging into a social media platform. Please note, we do not control the third party’s use of your personal information.
The public. Other users of the Service and the public, when you disclose personal information for public use. For instance, you may be able review a product that you purchased or used, and we will display your name along with the content you submit. We do not control how other users or third parties use any personal information that you make available to them. Please be aware that any information you post publicly can be cached, copied, screen captured or stored elsewhere by others (e.g., search engines) before you have a chance to edit or remove it.
Professional advisors. Professional advisors, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
Authorities and others. Law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate to comply with law or for the compliance, fraud prevention and safety purposes described above.
Payment processors. Third party payment processors, such as Stripe, that collect your payment card data and other transaction data to process your payment card transactions when you pay for the Service. Authentication services. When you log into the Service by using your credentials on a third party service, such as Google. LinkedIn and Microsoft, the service will collect contact data, device data and usage data from you to facilitate the authentication as described in the service’s relevant settings or privacy policy.
Business transferees. Parties (and their advisors) to business transactions involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, HireDesi or our affiliates (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings) may acquire all categories of personal data that we handle in connection with such transactions or we may share it with them in the context of negotiations of or due diligence for such transactions.
RESUME DATA
By creating a searchable resume through the Site or uploading a file resume on the Site, you are requesting and authorizing HireDesi to make available your resume to third parties, in accordance with our HireDesi’s Terms of Service. When you create a profile on HireDesi, your resume is set to searchable by default. This means that profile data and resume data (searchable), except as otherwise indicated on the Site, may be available to third parties, such as Employers.
Please note Employers and Employer representatives who access your resume data while it is set to searchable visibility, or to whom you apply with your not searchable resume, may choose to share your resume with additional parties. HireDesi is not responsible for such sharing. Similarly, when you share your searchable resume directly with a personalized link, we cannot control who sees your resume when you share that link.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF INFORMATION
We are headquartered in the United States and may use service providers that operate in the United States and other countries other than the country in which you are resident. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those of your country (and, in some cases may not be as protective as those in your state, province, or country). We will protect your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy wherever it is processed and take appropriate steps to protect the information in accordance with applicable laws.
If you live in the EEA, or a similar international area, you may have additional privacy rights available to you under applicable laws. We will process your requests in accordance with applicable data protection laws. - Right not to provide or withdraw consent: You have the right not to provide or withdraw your consent at any time.

OTHER SITES, MOBILE APPLICATIONS AND SERVICES
The Sites may contain links to other websites and online services operated by third parties. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. In addition, our content may be included on web pages or online services that are not associated with us. We do not control third party websites or online services, and we are not responsible for their actions. Other websites and services follow different rules regarding the collection, use and sharing of your personal information. SECURITY PRACTICES
The security of your personal information is important to us. We employ a number of organizational, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, security risk is inherent in all internet and information technologies and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
CHILDREN
The Service is not intended for use by children under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information about children under age 16 through the Service. If we learn that we have collected personal data through the Service from a child under 16 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will comply with applicable legal requirements to delete the information.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy and posting it on the Sites. If required by law we will also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via e-mail or another manner through the Service.
Any modifications to this Privacy Policy will be effective upon our posting the modified version (or as otherwise indicated at the time of posting). In all cases, your continued use of the Service after the posting of any modified Privacy Policy indicates your acceptance of the terms of the modified Privacy Policy.

Access or update your information. If you have registered for an account with us, you may review and update certain personal information in your account profile by logging into the account.
Opt-out of marketing communications. You may opt-out of marketing emails at any time by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email, or by contacting us. Please note that if you opt-out of promotional emails, you may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing emails. If you receive marketing text messages from us, you may opt out of receiving further marketing text messages from us by replying STOP to our marketing message.
Cookies. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies, including cookies used for interest-based advertising. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. Privacy settings and location data. Users of our App can disable our access to their device’s precise geolocation in their mobile device settings.
Choosing not to share your personal information. If you do not provide information that we need to provide the Service, we may not be able to provide you with the Service or certain features. We will tell you what information you must provide to receive the Service when we request it.
Third-party platforms or social media networks. If you choose to create an account through or connect the Service with another third-party platform, you may have the ability to limit the information that we may obtain from the third-party at the time you log in to the Service using the third-party’s authentication service or otherwise connect your account. You may also be able to control your settings through the third-party’s platform or service after you have connected your accounts.
Blocking advertising ID use in your mobile settings. Your mobile device settings may provide functionality to limit use of the advertising ID associated with your mobile device for interest-based advertising purposes.
Using privacy plug-ins or browsers. You can block our websites from setting cookies used for interest-based ads by using a browser with privacy features, like Brave, or installing browser plugins like Privacy Badger, or uBlock Origin, and configuring them to block third party cookies/trackers.

Opt-in. We do not currently sell your Personal Information.
Nondiscrimination. You are entitled to exercise the rights described above free from discrimination in the form of legally prohibited increases in the price or decreases in the quality of our Services.
Right to information, access and deletion. You can request to exercise your information, access and deletion rights.
Right to opt-out of the “sale” of your personal information. We currently do not sell your Personal Information. If we plan to sell your information, you will be notified and you can request to opt-out out of this “sale” of your personal information.
Request a list of third party marketers: California’s “Shine the Light” law (California Civil Code 1798.83) allows California residents to ask companies with whom they have formed a business relationship primarily for personal, family or household purposes to provide certain information about the companies sharing of certain personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding year (if any). You can submit such a request by sending an email to support@hiredesi.com with ‘Shine the Light’ in the subject line. The request must include your current name, street address, city, state, and zip code and attest to the fact that you are a California resident.
How to exercise your California rights. You may exercise your California privacy rights described above as follows:
You can request to exercise your information, access and deletion rights by emailing support@hiredesi.com. We reserve the right to confirm your California residence to process your requests and will need to confirm your identity to process your requests to exercise your information, access or deletion rights. As part of this process, government identification may be required. Consistent with California law, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. In order to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, you must provide a valid power of attorney, the requester’s valid government-issued identification, and the authorized agent’s valid government issued identification. We cannot process your request if you do not provide us with sufficient detail to allow us to understand and respond to it.
